Are you experiencing burnout? And are you looking for a burnout coach to help you recover and get your life back on track? Meditating can help you.

The pressure in our society is high

The pressure in our society is high. At work, we have to keep performing, rokingdeadlines andgetting the most out of ourselves. At home the children need to be taken care of, our partner needs attention, the household needs to be in order and a social life is not unimportant. And then we also need to take enough rest for ourselves. This quickly leads to stress. And too much stress can eventually lead to burnout.

When do you need a burnout coach?

Once you have found yourself in a burnout situation, it is actually already too late. The prolonged stress has eventually taken its toll. The result? You become completely exhausted and cannot live your life the way you want.

It is then very difficult to recover from this by yourself. Are you experiencing symptoms of burnout? Then it is wise to talk to your family doctor or company doctor. He or she can provide medical advice, suggest burnout treatment or identify other possible causes of your symptoms.

Some symptoms of burnout include:

  • Extreme fatigue
  • Insomnia
  • Gloom
  • Feeling agitated
  • Gastrointestinal complaints
  • Migraines
  • Hyperventilation
  • Concentration problems
  • Susceptibility to illness

Actively working on your burnout

Whether burnout recovery is possible? Yes, it certainly is. But you don't solve a burnout by a week's vacation or some fewer projects at work.

A burnout is caused by working too hard or too much, without consciously recharging your reserves. This causes stress and fatigue. Once those reserves are empty, it takes time to recharge them.

It is time to rest and listen carefully to your body. See what adjustments you can make to make it as easy on yourself as possible. Take some time off from work, get plenty of sleep, structure your day, eat healthy and get plenty of (not too intense) exercise such as walking, cycling and yoga.

Identifying burnout causes

Once you have taken enough rest and recovered from the initial blow, you can start working more actively on your recovery, which a (company) doctor or burnout coach can help with.

After all, stress is often a sign that you:

  • you have more on your plate than you can handle;
  • doing something that doesn't suit you;
  • dealing with unexpected situations.

To change this and thus ensure that you do not relapse into burnout, it is necessary to gain insight into yourself. How do you currently handle stressful situations? How do you react when you are too busy? What do you enjoy doing? And what do you especially dislike doing? Do you dare to say "no" when you don't want something?

It can be difficult to figure this out on your own. A burnout coach can help you build a healthy future (without burnout). So that you know what went wrong, how to make adjustments in your life and make lasting change.

As he puts it himself, "I needed those 2 years of burnout." Indeed, after this pit-stop moment in his life, he embarked on a path of personal development and spirituality. From this came the Meditation Moments App: an app with nearly one hundred Dutch guided meditations and music tracks.

Meditation Moments as burnout coach

With the Meditation Moments App you can work on your own recovery.

The guided meditations in the app help you create peace in your mind. In addition, the app contains specific guided meditations with questions for more self-insight, visualization meditations for self-awareness and meditations for more gratitude and connection with yourself. But you can also find concrete meditations with breathing exercises, for example.

And you can do these all by yourself! You only have to listen to Michael's voice, which guides you during the meditation. In this way you ask yourself concrete questions about your thoughts and you can consciously work on your recovery.
